About Watchman 

Robin Allen is the founder’s daughter, the agency’s qualified manager and licensed private investigator.  She brings her unique perspective as a private investigator, criminal justice consultant, and  former law enforcement officer who performed duties as a POST certified, sworn officer for Los Angeles County Probation Department.

 She conducts complex fraud investigations, insurance investigations and criminal defense investigations.  She has worked as a law enforcement consultant and researcher assessing jail safety and dealing with classification matters, and as a trainer for the Department of Justice.  She works collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and inter-departmental teams.

As a criminal justice consultant, she has worked in many jurisdictions in California from San Diego County to Contra Costa County, and additionally in many jurisdictions across the nation from Washington to New York. 

 She demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills with a keen ability to navigate challenging and diverse situations and audiences.

 She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from California State University, Northridge with a Master of Public Administration degree.  She is also a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) and The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Robert Harris’ multi-faceted law enforcement career began in 1966 with the St. Louis Police Department. In 1968, Robert moved to Southern California and became a security agent with the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Robert retired as Lieutenant from the nation’s largest Sheriff’s Department in July 1994 to start Watchman Investigations, LLC.  The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is the nation’s largest comprehensive law enforcement agency with over 12,000 personnel and an annual budget that exceeds $1 billion. Watchman Investigations, LLC. has managed cases nationwide mitigating risk, improving operations, and solving mysteries.

He is a trained and seasoned certified fraud examiner.  He developed Watchman Investigations and developed the organization into a highly sought after agency with a proven track record of exceeding client and organizational expectations.

He has trained his daughter Robin, current Chief Executive Officer, as a Strategic planner and coordinator of multimillion dollar projects and investigations.
